In-person 5 DAYS GROUP and ONE-ON-ONE course in Body maderotherapy/wood therapy what will include:

THE COURSE WILL INCLUDE 10 MODELS:
1. Anatomy and Physiology:
Study of the main systems of the body: Skin, Skeletal, Muscular, Circulatory, Lymphatic, Digestive, Urinary, Nervous and Endocrine system. For maderotherapy application it is important to identify all the target areas (bones, muscles, tendons) to prevent any injuries during the application. Circulatory and lymphatic systems cooperate together in the human body and thanks to them we are achieving lymphatic drainage due maderotherapy application.
2. Stages and causes of cellulite:
To achieve the best possible results in anti-cellulite maderotherapy treatments it is necessary to have a knowledge of cellulite anatomy, classify the different types of cellulite and identify factors that cause cellulite to be able planning an appropriate treatment program for a client during the anti-cellulite sessions.
3. Before you start:
In order to give the best possible service to clients, therapists need to prepare themselves, care about posture, choose the right oil, and prepare the environment and client for the treatment. Health, safety, hygiene and sterilization procedures contextualised to the environment in which the learner is working. The learner will also develop knowledge about current legislation and working practice requirements and client care, and communication which is essential to work and be successful in the industry. Consultation techniques will include understanding the needs of instructions for clients during anti-cellulite and after-surgery treatments of clients and providing aftercare and homecare advice.
4. Manual lymphatic drainage in maderotherapy session
Manual lymphatic drainage is a technique that stimulates the lymphatic system by using gentle and slow hand movements and rhythmic pressure. Manual lymphatic drainage reduces edema, activates blood flow, boost immune system and boost network of vessels which transport fluids throughout the body, which contributes to reducing the cellulite. MLD needs to be performed before each maderotherapy treatment to stimulate and “wake up” the lymphatic system and to optimize the effects of maderotherapy.
5. Basic strokes
Stroking refers to the rhythmic and flowing movement in massage treatment performed by hands. Needs to be performed before maderotherapy and basic strokes will help improve the circulation of blood in the body, assist in flexibility, and also decrease toxins in the muscles, heat up the tissue and prepare the body for maderotherapy application.
6. About maderotherapy
Meet the history about healing with wooden elements and discover more about this holistic massage technique based on the use of specifically designed wooden tools in different shapes and sizes. Benefits of maderotherapy are numerous, although there are some contraindications when maderotherapy can’t be applied.
7.Application for anti-cellulite treatment
Maderotherapy as anti-cellulite treatment is performed on the clients with 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade of cellulite, on clients who have water retention problem that is often accompanied by cellulite, with clients who have deep fat deposit, who wants to shape the body and reduce the size, lift the buttocks, define arms and legs and tightens the skin.
8. Application for relaxing treatment
Maderotherapy as a relaxing treatment is beneficial for anxiety, stress, tense shoulders and back due to work and lots of sitting, heavy legs from lots of standing or walking, poor circulation etc. It is performed slow, calm, soothing and it is completely zen treatment.
9. Application for post-surgery recovery treatment
Post-surgery recovery includes all recovery processes after any type of surgery, e.g., breast augmentation or enlargement, breast implant removals, breast lift, buttock lift, abdominoplasty, liposuction etc. Maderotherapy as post-surgery recovery treatment from safety reasons can be applied about 6 to 10 weeks after the surgery when the wounds are completely healed and only if the client doesn’t have any contraindications. It is beneficial for preventing fibrosis, edema, seroma, flaccidity and swelling, provide better appearance of the scar and it also acts as contouring treatment to reduce any adipose tissue in the hip and bra area to make final touch and improve the results.
10. Start your own business!
This certification will allow you to work from home, work as a mobile massage therapist or within a Spa or Massage Studio environment. The course also provides an ideal opportunity for those who want to expand their skill set to allow them to maximise their self-employment opportunities. Starting your own business can be confusing and sometimes complicated. You will get all necessary information about setting up your business, about insurance and taxes, and so many useful tips on how to grow your business on social media.
To be awarded this qualification, learners must successfully achieve the following assessments:
• External theory examination – can be through zoom
• Written assignment and client case
• External practical examination
After completing the course, you will be awarded AIT Certification in Body Maderotherapy, enabling you to work as a body therapist in Ireland, UK and all over the Europe.
You will be taught by Tea, a teacher with a Master’s Degree in education, and the first AIT Accredited maderotherapy trainer in Ireland who will follow your work and development during settling your own business.

Location:In-Person training in Body maderotherapy are held in Dublin and it is possible to organize training in any other city all over Ireland and Europe as well.

Additional Costs: Uniform (Student uniform must be purchased prior to start date)
Next course date: August 22th 2022 – September 12th 2022.
Places are limited to 3 students, interviews for the course commence 1 month prior to course start date. Successful applicants will be required to pay a €350 deposit. The remaining course fee will be payable in 2 monthly payments of €250 commencing with the last payment to be made 2 weeks before course start.
